The United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois has issued Amended General Order 20-0012 IN RE: CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 Public Emergency Signed by Chief Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer on March 16, 2020 providing important guidance on Court operations. All open cases are impacted by this Amended General Order.  It should be noted that this Order was issued late yesterday afternoon due to the fact that CDC Guidelines recommended against mass gatherings of over 50 persons through May 3, 2020. Since that time, President Trump has issued Coronavirus guidelines calling for Americans to avoid gathers of 10 or more people for the next 15 days. Obviously developments continue at a rapid pace as guidance from local, State, and Federal authorities is updated.
